June is Here!

Hello Evergreen!

We have one more day in the beautiful month of May tomorrow and then June is here! Praying over all of you today. Have you put on your armor yet? That is, the armor of God that we heard about in our message yesterday? Ephesians 6:10-18 reminds us to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, to stand firm and to put on ALL of God's armor to withstand ALL of the devil's strategies. Every piece for every strategy...God's armor is total, not one piece of you will be exposed when you place your faith in Him and put on Christ. Even if the battle gets hot, you can know that the Lord is the One taking the heat and He will care about what you experience during that temptation or battle. Jesus is our victory and He is the rallying point in the face of attack (Ps. 60:4 NLT). Even if you are not experiencing a current temptation, struggle, or battle you still benefit from praying the Lord's armor over yourself and your loved ones. And if you feel you are not in an active battle, then after you pray that armor take a moment to praise Him, sing a song to Him, or sing along to a song for Him:) Praise Him in the battle and out of the battle! Singing or saying God's praises is the gateway to breakthrough! He shows up when He hears His children's voices in prayer or in praise.

So make sure this afternoon if you haven't already that you stand firm in Jesus putting on the belt of truth, the body armor of God's righteousness, the shoes of peace with the readiness to tell the Good News, out in front of yourself the shield of faith to see that the fiery arrows of the devil slide off and are extinguished, your Salvation as a helmet, and the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God that you can wield at all times. Now, Pray!!! Pray at all times and on all occasions, and stay alert, be persistent and keep praying for all believers everywhere. (Eph. 6:14-18)

This month we have a few changes to our normal schedule. Sunday, June 5th, that's this Sunday we will be having remote church only so please tune into our church online platform to join in! There is a possible "Pop-Up Prayer" night on Thursday, June 9th! Also, Pastor Stewy rounded out our final evangelism equipping Discovery Group this past meeting in May and it was a really special night! With that said, we will have our next Discovery Group on Tuesday, June 21st (First Official Day of Summer) at 6:30 PM with a Summer Kick-Off Party!!! Just a time to gather and enjoy some fellowship and food and celebrate the end of our latest curriculum before starting the new session. As a reminder, Men's Bible Study is an every Sunday offering at 10:00 AM! The only exception to that will be this Sunday because of being remote only.

Below you will find our June calendar, and as always if anything changes or is added to the calendar you will hear from Evergreen in a text!
